“Another world” was my art piece to make a statement about me not agreeing with the way people in Bangkok live their life. I created a media art piece that is a tool to project people’s own images onto a violent situation. The background of conflict-prone regions of the Middle East, Western Europe, and the South of Thailand enables the viewers not only to imagine, but to see clearly how they are in a situation of concrete danger. People living in constant fear become aware of the value of their life, unlike people, who live a over-indulgent lifestyle, and who may find it difficult to imagine how hard it is to live in zones of armed conflict and social unrest. By means of these projections, I let the viewers see, and think about how much they consume and the unnecessary pleasure they derive from consumption. What people could or should do to add meaning to their life and to that of others in our contemporary world is at the center of this work.
