“Disconnection” is an experimental art project that focuses on people inhabiting the densily populated Southeast Asian cities of Ho Chi Minh and Bangkok. The “Connect and Disconnect” project is based on new media technology and to create “the way” to connect people from different economic and cultural backgrounds who, in reality, live in the same place at the same time. “Disconnected Condition” is a conceptual tool I have used to compare states and conditions of connectivity and disconnection. Communication equipment, including mobile phones, tablets, computers, radio communication, and television, has been mobilized in symbolic form. By creating an artificial space with realities taken from somewhere else, I made multiple and distinct areas overlap. Within this confined physical space people are connected to disconnected experiences. that bespeak questions of ‘living as a human being’.

“Existentialism” is the philosophical current that drives this experimental art project, which seeks to connect theories and ideas found in mythology, physics, holism, and the theory of relativity. It is committed to the artistic exploration of a set of intrinsically existential questions: Who am I? Where will I go after life? Is a truth found in the present time? What is the meaning of life?
